Delete your account
Delete from the app
- Sign in to Locsy.
- Open You, then Settings.
- Select Delete account and confirm.
This removes your Locsy identity and associated profile, saved field notes, uploaded media, comments, reactions, follows, reports, and notification data. Public content is removed rather than left attributed to your account.
Delete data without deleting your account
You can remove content while keeping your Locsy account:
- Open one of your field notes, select its menu, choose Delete field note, and confirm. Its associated field-note media is removed with it.
- Open a field note containing one of your comments, open the comment menu, and choose Delete comment.
You can also edit your field notes and their visibility at any time. For help deleting content you cannot access, email support@locsy.org from the address associated with your account and identify the content. We may ask you to verify ownership.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@locsy.org from the address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deletion. Do not send passwords or authentication codes.
Deletion requests are processed as soon as reasonably possible. Limited records may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or law.
