Using Locsy

You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your account, follow applicable law, and be old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction.

Outdoor responsibility

Locsy content is community supplied and may be incomplete, outdated, unsafe, inaccessible, or located on private or protected land. Verify conditions, permissions, weather, closures, and your own ability before visiting any place.

Community content

You retain ownership of content you submit and grant Locsy permission to store, display, resize, and distribute it as needed to operate the service. Only submit content you have the right to share.

Open map data

OpenStreetMap place data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). This licence applies to OpenStreetMap-derived place data, not to separate community field notes or profile content.

Prohibited activity

Do not harass others, misrepresent dangerous locations, expose sensitive ecological or personal locations, trespass, scrape the service, evade security controls, upload unlawful material, or interfere with Locsy infrastructure.

Moderation

Locsy may restrict visibility, remove content, suspend access, or preserve evidence when reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance, or investigation of a report.

You may request review of a moderation decision by following the appeal instructions on the support page. Locsy may maintain a decision when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or preserve service integrity.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as available without a guarantee that community information is accurate or that access will be uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, you assume the risks of outdoor activity and reliance on user content.

Ending use

You may stop using Locsy or request account deletion at any time. Terms that logically survive termination, including content rights already exercised, safety obligations, and liability limitations, continue to apply.
